These bags prove that my idea of Indian fabric is not obvious to a worker in India!
They were made in Mysore, South India, by mothers of young people with Downs Syndrome who would not otherwise have work because of the ‘shame’ associated with having a disabled child.
They measure 38 cms by 30 cms, although some are larger, and have two shoulder straps about 70 cms long. They fasten with a zip and there is a zipped pocket in the lining.
They are priced for a quick sale.
