Description
Recycled rice bags are used to make these useful and unusual pencil cases. They have been made by artisans in and around Kathmandu supported by Jeevankala ( www.himalayanhealthcare.org ) , a not for profit organisation which aims to improve the lives of the artisans, especially women, by giving them sustainable, well-paid work.
They are about 20 cms. long and 5 cms. high, lined with red cotton fabric and fastened with a zip. Every one is different, depending on the rice bag used.
