Stripy shoulder bag – black and white

An attractive simple but strong shopping bag with straps long enough to go over the shoulder. The woven gheri fabric was bought in the markets in the centre of Kathmandu, and the bag is lined with black cotton fabric.

The bags measure about 36cms by 36cms, and have two 65 cm straps.

These bags were a new project made by a small group of Nepali women who work together to earn money for daily necessities.  They share all their earnings and are constantly looking to broaden their product range;  a recently donated sewing machine helped them to do this.
