Stripy shoulder bag – red

An attractive simple but strong shopping bag with straps long enough to go over the shoulder. The woven gheri fabric was bought in the markets in the centre of Kathmandu, and the bag is lined with cream cotton fabric.

The bags measure about 36cms  by 42cms, and have two 65cms straps. They have a zipped pocket inside for keys etc, and fasten with a zip.

These bags were a new project made by a small group of Nepali women who work together to earn money for daily necessities.  They share all their earnings and are constantly looking to broaden their product range;  a recently donated sewing machine helped them to do this.
