These beautiful bins can be used to store all manner of things, but also make attractive covers for plant pots.
They are made by hand by female weavers in Bolgatanga, Northern Ghana. The women handle their own finances and so are treated fairly.
The grasses used to weave them grow wild and are gathered, prepared and naturally dyed by members of the group, ready to be woven into a unique, biodegradable piece.
They are about 25cms high and 26cms in diameter.
